HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017

A BEAUTIFUL, TRADITIONAL SERVICE...
...FOLLOWED BY DINNER AT THE PARISH HOUSE
Sunday, New Year's Day, 9:00 AM.  28 degrees F at the Ferry Dock, 24 on the back porch.  Wind variable and mostly calm, with occasional light gusts.  The humidity is 78%,  and the barometer is rising, currently at 29.96".  Skies are overcast and cloudy.  We are expecting heavy snow Monday through Wednesday morning, with additional snow showers, overcast skies and falling temperatures thereafter.  We could use a break.
We enjoyed a quiet New Year's Eve, begun with an early evening service at Christ Church; a traditional sung Mass, with all the bells and whistles and lots of carols to usher in the new year. Dinner at the parish house followed.  The weather is lousy and the roads slippery so that was the extent of our celebration, but that sufficed for a couple of old folks.
Happy New Year to all, as we look forward to a better year for everyone.
