MIRACLE ON CATHOLIC HILL

Thursday, 9:30 AM.  33 degrees F at the ferry dock, 33 on the back porch.  Wind NW, with light to moderate gusts.  The sky is cloudy, the humidity 94%.  The barometer is rising, now at 29.88".  The high today will be near 40, with cloudy skies,  Friday will be slightly cooler, also with cloudy skies.  Saturday it will warm slightly, with snow showers in the morning.
   Now that most of the snow has melted with a slight uptick in temperature, a lot of Bayfield looks like fall again.   The leaves that were cloaked in snow have shed their mantles and show their fall colors.
   The return of fall color to Catholic Hill is a minor miracle.
