Thursday, noon. 24 degrees F, wind NW, moderate. The sky is overcast, the humidity 50% an the barometer steady, at 29.5". We had freezing rain last night that left grass, roofs and vehicles covered in ice but the roads were not slippery.
We are heading back to Wisconsin tomorrow after a two week visit. Everyone is going back to work and school so it is time for us to leave. It looks like the weather should be O.K. for the trip. The photo was taken several mornings ago, the gnarled Texas oak (I am not sure of the species) standing out against the dawn and blue sky and clouds.
