8/09/08 TUMBLES AND BERRY PIES

Saturday, 8:30 AM. 60 degrees, wind NW, light with gusts. The channel is wrinkled. The skies are mostly clear, and the barometer predicts rain.
Joan and I went to the Larsen’s camp for dinner yesterday evening. Their daughter Libby and husband Scott and kids Tyler and Luke were there, they are going home today. We arrived just in time to see Tyler crash at the end of the zip line. He got banged up some but went right back and zipped again. He contemplated his injuries while eating raspberry-blueberry pie. Andy took a fall in the woods and is banged up pretty good, with a big infected knot on his right arm. We are all rather concerned.
Dinner was good as usual, featuring Andy’s camp chicken and Judy’s Dutch oven berry pie. Everyone had their fill, including the dogs.
I collected Coreopsis seeds this morning and will strew them at the back of the garden. Routine cores are in order today, with good weather to do them.
