Sunday, 9:15 AM. 71 degrees F, wind NW, light with occasional stronger gusts. The sky is clear except for a bit of haze on the eastern horizon, the humidity is 50% and the barometer is way up. It will be a second beautiful day for the Bayfield garden tours.
Yesterday was the walking tours of nine gardens, all nicely manicured for their visitors. All have their own charm, some professionally designed and maintained, others done by the sweat of the owner’s brow. Design motifs range from historic to modern, cottage to estate, and everything in between. The resultant collage is both invigorating and charming. We spent a good part of yesterday visiting gardens and then picking up the walking tour signs. Today we will do the driving tour, which has nineteen gardens on its itinerary.
