Tuesday, 8:00 AM. 30 degrees, wind SW, light. The sky is blue in the south half, with black snow clouds in the north. The channel is crawling slightly and sparkling silver with reflected light from the rising sun. The barometer predicts mostly sunny skies. The porch geranium baskets still survive even though there is ice on the birdbath.
The garden is put to bed and the roses cut back so we are pretty well ready for winter, except to mulch leaves once more and put a few things away.
