ANOTHER COLOR SPECTACULAR, AND WINTER FIREWOOD

US HWY. 2 CONIFERS AND ASPENS...

...ADD YOUNG OAKS FOR A COLOR SPECTACULAR
A WINTER'S FIREWOOD
Tuesday,  9:00 AM.  50 degrees F, wind variable but mostly NE, light to medium gusts.  The sky is cloudy and overcast, the humidity 90%, after receiving something less than a quarter of an inch of rain from all of yesterday's inclemency, The barometer is rising, currently at 2987".
Yesterday's trip to Duluth via US Hwy. 2 was a color spectacular of golds, greens and reds, and  on the way there it was hard to keep one's eyes on the road.  Duluth and environs was socked in with heavy fog and it rained all the way back,  precluding very much afternoon leaf peeping.
Neighbor Erick up the block had his winter's firewood  delivered yesterday (he has a wood furnace).  He has a lot of cutting and splitting to do before snow flies.
