PLANTING OF MEMORIAL TREE FOR GRANDON HARRIS, SATURDAY, 10:00 AM.

RED OAK
Friday, 9:00 AM.  47 degrees F at the ferry dock, 42 on the back porch.  Wind NNE, calm with light gusts.  The sky is partly cloudy, the humidity 92%.  The barometer is rising, now at  30.5". We will have mild temperatures for the next week, with a chance of rain on Monday.
Grandon Harris, who died unexpectedly two weeks ago, was a valued member of our Tree Board, always skilled and ambitious.  He was also a dedicated member of The Bayfield Regional Conservancy, fond of its trails, particularly the Brownstone Trail that leads out of Bayfield and the old rail way right of way south along the lake shore.
On this Saturday, the Tree Board will dedicate a sapling red oak tree to Grandon's memory.  The tree planting will take place at 10:00 AM, at the Brownstone trail shelter at the intersection of Wilson Ave. and 3rd. Street.  There will be a short ceremony, followed by refreshments provided by the Conservancy.  All of Grandon's many friends, and anyone who loves trees, are encouraged to attend.
