TO DETERMINE IF BEAR IS IN TRAP, PLACE HAND INSIDE HOLE |
THERE'S A BEAR AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE, NO LONGER CONSTIPATED |
FIRST BEAR OF SPRING, ON WAY TO THE TEDDY BEARS' PICNIC |
YEARLING BEAR |
BEAR CUB LOOKING FOR MAMA |
Being more or less trapped inside by the fierce winds of the last several days, my mind has been wandering even more than usual, and it stumbled upon wondering when the bears would come out of hibernation; not quite yet, I think. That means the bird feeders are probably safe for a while.
But I did get up the ambition to look through the archives and retrieve some bear related photos. I think I lost one or two in the process and maybe I'll find them again and maybe not, but the above are what I have for now.
THE TEDDY BEARS' PICNIC
by Jimmy Kennedy, 1932
If you go down to the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain,
Because today's the day
The Teddy Bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for Teddy Bears
The little Teddy Bears
Are having a lovely time today
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily gad about
They love to play and shout;
They never have any cares;
At six o'clock their Mummies and Daddies,
Will take them home to bed,
Because they're tired little Teddy Bears.
If you go down to the woods today
You'd better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home.
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain,
Because today's the day
The Teddy Bears have their picnic.
