WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, JACK FROST?

A FROSTY LANDSCAPE OF MOUNTAINS AND FORESTS

A N ASTRONAUTS VEIW OF THE EARTH

A GALAXY FAR AWAY IN TIME AND SPACE

 ANCIENT, STORM-BLASTED TREES

CONTINENTS ADRIFT ON  PRIMORDIAL SEAS
Thursday, 8:30 AM.  6 degrees F, wind NW with significant gusts.  The sky is partly cloudy with some fog over the channel,  but it will probably clear.  The humidity is 67% and the barometer is rising, currently at 30.27".

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, JACK FROST?

Welcome back, Jack!
You've been gone so long
Seventy years, I'd say,
Since back in the day,
When I was eight or nine

Looking out my bedroom window
Admiring your artistry,
Your creativity,
Your pinpoint brushstrokes
on a frigid canvas

I remember well your scenes:
Galaxies phantasmagorical,
Ancient, storm-blasted trees. allegorical
Continents adrift on seas primordial
All such things of childhood dreams

Where have you been, Jack Frost?
Artist extraordinaire,
Banished from your frigid lair,
Locked out by thermal panes, and central heat
A lifetime of art work, incomplete!

But now you're here, Frosty Jack!
You've crept between
Two window panes, that don't quite fit
You've taken up your brush again,
To bring my childhood back
