GRIDLOCK AT THE BEACH

BUDDY GETS TO STRETCH HIS LEGS ON OLD SAN ROAD

Saturday,  9:00 AM.  28 degrees F, wind SW, calm to very light.  The sky is overcast and a few snowflakes are drifting lazily down.  The humidity  is high, 89% and the barometer is trending down, now at 29.49".

   We drove past the beach yesterday and figured it must be a real warm spell, as Friendly Valley Road was filled with cars; but folks weren't sun bathing or swimming, they were...ice fishing!

   The break in the weather gave Buddy a chance to be off-leash and really stretch his legs, with a run on Old San Road and over the snow banks and up to his neck in snow.

   What do you do when your climate theory isn't supported by the facts?  Why, you change the premise to fit your data.  Case in point: first the title of the current  popular climate theory was Global Warming; which when that didn't work  became Climate Change; and which is now conveniently being called Climate Disruption.  I would have been summarily kicked out of graduate school for that kind of chicanery (unless I had declared myself to be a Democrat, as all this left-right turmoil was going on even a half-century ago in the universities).  But multi-millionaiore Al Gore,  "inventor of the Internet" and climate guru, doesn't care, as he is lolling on some tropical beach while the rest of us are being "disrupted."
