CITY OF BAYFIELD'S FIRST HERITAGE TREE |
Monday, 9:30 AM. 31 degrees F at the ferry dock, 30 on the back porch. Wind light and variable, humidity 92%. Barometer 30.09" and falling, predicting the chance of rain on Thursday.
Joan and I again hosted a Christmas party for the members of the City of Bayfield Tree Board and their spouses (in the case of two couples, both husband and wife are Tree Board members). Unfortunately, several people could not attend because of illness or prior commitments, but we had a good crowd anyway and everyone enjoyed the get-together. I forgot to take any photos, so I inserted a tree above...(probably looks better than at least the old timers among us anyway).
We even talked about trees; everyone had interesting tree-stories to tell. We have had a successful year, and our endeavors have been well received. We only have our annual report to the Abor Day Foundation's Tree City USA program to complete and we can call the 2015 tree year over.
