MIGRATION WEATHER?
Friday, 7:30 AM. 51 degrees, wind W, light at ground level. It has been raining lightly. The barometer predicts more rain.
We are heading south to visit and goose hunt with friends of fifty years, Bill and Allene Peebles, on their farm. Bill reports few geese flying as yet (local geese populations on golf courses and lakes have been pretty well eliminated through local control, being considered pests), but hopefully migrating geese will follow us south with the weather. In any case, the visit is as important as the hunt. We will be back on Tuesday, hopefully with wild geese for the freezer.
