4/13/10 RAIN, NOT SNOW, PLEASE!

A COLD, DARK MORNING
SOME FISH, LOTS OF ROCKS

Tuesday, 7:45 AM. 38 degrees, down from 40.5 degrees 30 minutes ago. Wind NE, light to moderate, bringing cold air off the lake. The barometer predicts precipitation; I hope it doesn’t snow!
After taking the truck to the local service station for some work this morning I need to start laying out city trees for spring planting.
Yesterday morning I fished below the Big Rock on the Sioux River for an hour. There were a fair number of fish struggling up the rocks in the low water but I saw none as large as 25” (minimum keeper size) so didn’t bother to try to catch one, but it was a nice outing. The rocks are beginning to get slippery with algae and the stream rather difficult to wade.
