DAFFODILS
Thursday, 7:00 AM. 49 degrees, wind W, calm. The sky is overcast and heavy fog covers the channel, and I was awakened this morning by a fog horn blast from a ferry that made it seem as though the ship was steaming into the bedroom. We got a trace of rain last night, but even that was welcome, and the barometer still, hopefully, predicts rain.
Bayfield’s daffodils have suffered from the drought but are still quite a sight. These are all along Hwy 13 through town.
I and several other tree board members are attending an area forestry symposium in Ashland today.
