MORNING RUSH HOUR IN BAYFIELD
ASPEN AS PRETTY AS PAPER BIRCH
GRIDLOCK ON THE CHANNEL?
HOW COU LD IT NOT HAVE RAINED?
Wednesday, 7:30 AM. 48 degrees, wind SSW, light. The sky is mostly clear but with some heavy haze toward the south. I thought from the cloud configurations yesterday evening we would get rain but did not. The barometer again predicts it. Perhaps it is time for a rain dance up on the Rez. These quaking aspen (Populous tremuloides) are as pretty as paper birch trees in the twilight.
It is a quiet morning with little traffic of any kind except for the tandem ferries crossing the channel.
I will finish the city tree planting survey and plan this morning.
