5/10/10 WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST?

RED SQUIRREL IN A SCOTCH PINE
PRETTY RHODODENDRON
WILD ASPARAGUS

Monday, 7:00 AM. 40 degrees, up 4 degrees in the past hour. Wind WNW, calm. The sky is partly cloudy and the barometer predicts the same.
The ditch asparagus plants are sending up their edible spikes. This one was tempting, but it’s not my ditch.
A very pretty white Rhododendron is blooming on the corner of 8th and Manypenny Ave.
The little red squirrel is breakfasting on, I think, pine nuts while sitting in a Scotch pine on 9th St.
It’s time for my own breakfast, and then back to the job interrupted by Friday’s blizzard.
