A FINE WEEKEND
IT WAS A "STUMP THE EXPERTS" DAY
MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
AN ATTENTIVE GROUP OF FOURTH GRADERS
BAYYFIELD GETS AN AWARD
Saturday, 8:15 AM. 53 degrees, wind W, light. The sky is cloudless with some haze over the lake. The barometer predicts sunny skies. It promises to be a fine weekend.
Yesterday was hectic but fulfilling. The Arbor Day tree planting went well, the kids very attentive. Our DNR Urban Forester talked about trees and directed the tree’s planting, and Jay’s Tree Service planted it, with the help of the 4th graders. The Mayor read his proclamation and received an award for Bayfield’s decade of Tree City U SA participation.
The Garden Talk radio show was fun, with a lot of quirky call in questions that had the panel of experts scratching our heads at times. The Here On Earth radio show in the afternoon was also well attended. It was a good day for Bayfield.
We also managed to get most of the city trees planted and a major landscaping project completed. I need to wrap up loose ends today, but tomorrow will be a welcome day of rest.
