APPLEFEST BEGINS

PLENTY OF PARKING ...

...RIDES TO GET SICK ON...

...CORN DOGS, GAMES AND RIDES...

...AND OF COURSE, A MERRY-G0-ROUND

Friday, 8:00 AM.  46 degrees F at the ferry dock 43 on the back porch.  Wind N, mostly calm with occasional moderate gusts.  The sky is clear, the humidity 81%.  The barometer is heading downward gradually, now standing at 30.62".
Applefest starts today, first and foremost with the carnival, which is right downtown, occupying a whole block, between 2nd and Broad St. and Manypenny and Wilson Aves.  It is always fun  for the kids.  Many vendors will also be set up on downtown streets and Lakefront Park today.
The parade and mass band will start Sunday at 1:00 PM.  Our truck will not be in the the parade this year since I am still going to Ashland for anti-biotic shots twice a day on Saturday and won't have time  or energy to decorate it.  Daughter-in-Law Leslie offered to do it, but I thought it too much of an imposition.  Last year's rendition was spectacular, and memories will have to suffice.
The weather is glorious for the this year's events. Several past years it has rained or snowed.
