I'M READY FOR THE BOAT RIDE! |
OFF BASSWOOD ISLAND |
RASPBERRY LIGHTHOUSE IN THE DISTANCE |
A BIG SAILBOAT OFF STOCKTON ISLAND |
Saturday, 7:30 AM. 61 degrees F, wind NW, brisk. The sky is cloudless, the humidity 45%. The barometer is way down so there is some sort of a front moving in but I think it is probably pretty weak.
We are having a great time trying to keep up with our four year old granddaughter Allison, yesterday starting out with Leslie, Allison, Buddy and myself going for our walk-run down Old San Road (I walk, everyone else runs). The blackberries along the road are sure good. Allison and her mother went on the Apostle Islands glass-bottom boat tour yesterday afternoon. I needed to mow the lawn and Joan needed to go to Ashland. Allison and Leslie had a very nice cruise through the Islands, even though the water was too rough to see much of shipwrecks and such underwater.
Buddy is getting more attention than ever and I am very pleased with his patience with a little girl who wants to continually play with him. He mostly does what she wants him to do, and when he gets tired of playing fetch and being brushed he simply disappears.
Well, Romney has chosen Wisconsin's Paul Ryan as his running mate. He is undoubtedly not the most charismatic of the choices, but he knows the ins and outs of the federal budget and its woes better than anyone else, and between he and Mitt they should be able to tackle the big problems of deficits, lack of job growth and general economic stagnation the country is experiencing under our neo-socialist (or worse) administration.
