PLAYGROUNDS, BLUEBERRIES AND A REALLY NEAT THIEF (BEAR)

LESLIE AND ALLISON AT THE LAKEFRONT

SWINGIN'

AT HIGHLAND VALLEY FARM

IF YOU EAT ENOUGH BLUEBERRIES YOUR EYES WILL BE BLUE

Friday, 8:30 AM. 66 degrees F, wind NW, breezy.  The sky is partly cloudy, the humidity is 80% and the barometer is way up.  It will be a really nice day.
Yesterday afternoon we went to the Marina playground.  It was actually chilly, with a brisk wind from the NE.  Then it was off to Highland Valley Farm to pick blueberries, lots of blueberries!  They are delicious, sweet and plump.  The bushes are about four feet high so it is really easy picking for everyone from a small child to an adult.  They are amazingly prolific, the branches dripping with berries.
We had a burglary last night.  I forgot to close the garage door and a bear got in and stole the contents of the garbage can.  He was a very neat thief, as he took the two heavy bags of garbage and carted them off into the woods somewhere.  I made an attempt to find them but being a bear, he may have eaten the bags as well as the contents and I could find nothing. There was no other damage done, but I’ll have to be more careful.  On the other hand, he saved me $2.50 in garbage disposal fees.
