6/03/11 MORE CRAB APPLES, AND LILACS

BEAUTIFUL CRAB APPLE

DITTO

...AND...

ONE MORE

LILACS HAVE BEGUN TO BLOOM
Friday, 7:30 AM.  62 degrees, wind NE, calm.  The sky is mostly overcast and it is humid.  The barometer predicts rain, but it is a quiet, pleasant morning.
We finished most of the landscape jobs yesterday, only easy work left for today.  It would be good to get a gentle rain and some cloudy weather for the newly planted trees, as they were a bit stressed by the hot, windy weather two days ago.
My own landscape is badly in need of work, which doesn’t ever stop in spring.
The city is glorious with blooming trees, and a few more of the flowering crab trees are pictured.  The city garden tours are Saturday (walking) and Sunday (driving) and hopefully a gentle rain off and on, if it occurs, will not deter visitors.
Lilacs are just beginning to bloom as well.
