Monday, 8:00 AM.  62 degrees, wind E, light.  The sky has a few high, thin clouds, but it is hazy and the barometer predicts rain.  The new Coast Guard family left their garbage can out last night and it got raided by a huge bear, which strewed the contents all up and down the street.  “As big as our mini-van” was probably a slight exaggeration.   Welcome to the Northland.
The photos are from the driving garden tour of Bayfield and a few additional pictures highlighting the horticultural assets of the community.  Yesterday was perfect, temperatures in the high fifties and low sixties. Bright and sunny.
Daughter Eva, son-in-law Doug and grandchildren Nick and Katie and little dog Ronnie arrived yesterday from Denver, in time for dinner.  We will soon have a houseful, with the arrival of Dutch, Leslie and three year old Allison and one of their dogs.  Lots of commotion to get the old folks blood circulating again.
