A FANTASTIC FALL FOR FRUIT

SARGENT'S CRABAPPLE LAST SPRING...

THIS FALL...

...LOADED WITH FRUIT
Wednesday, 8:45AM.  Wind NE, light with some slightly stronger gusts.  Sky clear, humidity 69%.  Barometer 30.16" and steady at present.  There will be a chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday.  I asked Andrew, our Coast Guardsman neighbor, what he knew about the small boat with three people missing on the lake, and he reports that they have not as yet been found.  Looks bad.
The Sargent's  Flowering Crabapple is one of my favorite small flowering trees, and ours was loaded with bloom this spring.  It follows that it would likely be as heavily laden with fruit this fall, and it does not disappoint.
If may turn out to be a subdued fall color wise, but it is a fantastic fall for fruit.
