FOG, SUN AND A CLASSY DOG

SUN AND FOG
A CLASSY DOG

Monday, 8:30 AM.  33 degrees F, wind S, light.  The sky is sunny but thick fog covers the channel and the islands, and from the back porch we look down on the tops of thick white clouds, as though we were on a mountain top.  The barometer is down a bit at 30.19" and the humidity is 96%.  It will be a nice day once the fog lifts.
Sure is quiet since the family left, but we have lots of work to keep us busy.  Robbins are evidently substantial enough birds to trigger Buddy's pointing instinct, and since they have arrived by the hundreds, Buddy is on point almost full time.  I suppose I should be concerned that when I take him grouse hunting he will be pointing robins, but he is happy doing what he is doing and we won't worry about next fall.  I get great enjoyment from watching him work the woods and fields and go on point.  He is a classy dog..
